First official session of the year! February Sunday workshop getting started on the collaborative project that will be used for the Indian Ocean Triennial later this year, which will make use of plastic collected from Perth's beaches along the Indian Ocean.

Continuing with the same collaborative project tasks in the Friday Extension workshop. Show and tell with members personal work, and a collaborative poem project.

REmida Visit

An inspiring group visit to REmida at 1 Prospect st, West Perth. A great array of recycled materials to choose from to get the creative juices flowing; the sky really is the limit!

Grid Experiments

At last Sunday meeting Gail showed us some clever ways to use metal grids and fusible to give texture in our work.

Textile Birds

Friday group welcomed Jennie back again for a session on textile birds. Members used water-soluble fabric and thread painting and made some wonderful creations. We hope to see them at show and tell soon.

Retreat 2019

Last month there was no Sunday group as we were all enjoying a fabulous retreat at Banksia Springs in Dwellingup. Members were stitching and printing (and eating!) like mad but Helen O managed to pursuade everyone to take a wander through the woods into the night to find the local cidery. Those who got up early enough enjoyed morning yoga sessions out on the varanda before breakfast. We were also treated to many a strange tale and a vintage car display by the owner Geoff. Next year the retreat will run from Thursday 16^th to Sunday 19^th April. Save the date now!
